LCN Guild Charter Foreword La Cosa Nostra is a friendly and relaxed guild with the simple goal of enjoying the game. The core group is comprised of experienced players with the ideal of recruiting both experienced and new players alike who share the same frame of mind. To maintain the standard of conduct and enjoyment for a growing guild as a whole, this charter has been implemented. Guild Members: General Guidelines A guild is only as good as its members. LCN is a family of players, and when you are inducted into a family, there are benefits, and rules. Harassment of any kind towards another guild member or game player will not be tolerated, and may result in immediate dismissal at the officer’s discretion. As part of our family- if you have been inducted, you are required to wear our Emblem on your cloak and/or shield. Stealth groups are exempt from this rule as long as they wear all black.
Invitations All members are encouraged to keep an eye out for prospective recruits. If members come across someone wanting to find a guild, please bring it to the attention of an officer or a GM, and we will contact them accordingly. Under the social tab there is a “LFGuild” tab that can be checked to find people. Forums Every guild member must be a member of the forums, but you do not have to actively watch the forums. The reason for this is that we have an easy way to contact our members about important issues. The forums are there to help every member, but we will not force you to participate in them if you choose not to.
RvR Combat; Call to Arms If you go to the frontiers to fight, remember that you represent the guild. Conduct yourself respectfully and professionally. If everyone keeps a good reputation, it will be much easier for our guild members to get into groups for ML and Artifact Raids as well as RVR and general PVE groups. If you are hosting a group, family comes first; offer them the openings first. Members are encouraged to also group with members from other guilds in the Alliance. It is after all the reason we started the whole /as J. Finally: Know your place. There is a hierarchy in the frontiers. Your group leader is in charge, and his boss is the Battlegroup leader. If you are unhappy with the leadership, quietly disband and move on to another group. Don’t make a scene.
Power-Leveling From time to time, officers host groups for PL sessions to help the lower levels along when times are lean. These are a PRIVELEGE, not a right. If you expect to be power-leveled, you are in for a disappointment. Members must level at least one character to 50 traditionally before they are accepted into these groups. It strengthens the guild manpower, and more importantly you LEARN how to play your character effectively. Guild Ranks The following points can be combined to improve your guild rank. 1 rank for every 1000 points in crafting 1 rank for every 5 Master Levels 1 rank for every 100,000 Realm Points Members who Merit rank 2 may apply for candidacy to become an Officer. Guild House: Permissions. All members are welcome to use the facilities at the guild house, such as the material merchants and crafting tables. The two guild vaults are divided according to administration. While all members are able to add/donate items to the community vault, only certain ranks may remove items from the restricted vault- namely Officers and GMs. For the Consignment merchant, all members are able to add items. Keep in mind that all money earned and items placed into the merchant become guild donations- you will not get them back. If you mistakenly put the wrong item on the merchant, notify an officer or GM, and they will get it back for you. ONLY GMs are able to remove money/items from the merchant. Guild money that comes in from donations to the merchant gets used for a variety of things including paying the rent and future upgrades. Officers: Requirements; Duties; Application Process. Members achieving Rank 2 have the option of applying for candidacy. While the GMs work as Guild administrators and liaisons to the Alliance, Officers are the workhorses and police who watch over the guild. Once a month, an officer must either lead or assist in a scheduled raid (indicated on the calendar). If no one shows up, credit is received for having tried. Note that the raid must be scheduled at a reasonable time in order to qualify. Officers are also responsible for the day to day affairs of the guild, such as organization, monitoring the alliance chat, helping the members, leading RvR squads and settling disputes. They must receive E-mail from the forum’s Moderator and Admin Chat board and the Request for help board, (anything else is up to you). They must read the posts on the Moderator and Admin board to keep themselves up to date with policy changes and other officer information. Member Disputes and Appeals Process Members who have a problem bring it to the attention of an Officer, who then makes a decision as to how to fairly settle the dispute, records the log and then reports the incident to the GMs. Occasionally, another officer may be brought in as a second arbiter in special situations. Members who are unhappy with the decision may appeal it by petitioning the GMs, in which a private conference is held. The GM’s decision is final. |
